I have been practicing law in Austin, Texas since
1975. I am a graduate of the University of Texas and the University of Texas Law School. I have been Board Certified
in Personal Injury Trial Law since 1995.
What I do
The primary purpose of my practice is to obtain
fair payment or compensation for people who have been injured by the carelessness or intentional act of another person or
of a corporation. The most common situation involves auto accidents.
Problems Encountered by Victims
Typically, the victim will be dealing with
the other party's insurance company. The insurance company representative will be knowledgeable about this process
and while he or she is probably honest, neither the insurance company nor its representative has a duty to be fair to the
victim. The insurance company representative's job is to minimize the money paid to the victim.
Frequently, the victim also has trouble paying for medical expenses, getting proper treatment and obtaining a replacement
vehicle. These problems often cause the victim to settle for less than he or she is entitled to recover.
My
job is to make sure the injured person gets fair treatment. If you choose to hire me, I will use my knowledge and 37
years of legal experience to help you get fair treatment as quickly as possible.
There is no charge for
an initial consultation and you have no obligation. You owe me nothing unless and until I recover something for
you.
Among the things that an injured person or victim is entitled to receive are these:
1.
Payment of reasonable and necessary medical expenses
2. Payment of the cost of repairing or replacing a damaged
car or other property
3. Payment of the cost of a rental vehicle
4. Payment for time lost
from work
5. Payment for pain, suffering and the general misery of being hurt
